
Spices Chef organizes cooking courses for both small and bigger groups. There are five course themes presented in this page. Courses can also be customized according to participants' interest.

CURRY DISHES: What are curries and how they are cooked? Basicly none of the tropical meals is eatable without a curry and there are hundred of different sorts of curries, with variety of looks and tastes. The aim of the course is to teach a beginner how different curries from mildest to hottest are prepared. The course is suitable also for gluten or lactose-free diets.
VEGETABLE DISHES: In this course you learn to cook delicious vegetable dishes flavoured appropriately using spices and herbs. For example vegetable starters, soups, vegetable korma, lentil soup, chutneys, palak paneer and vegetable biriyani. You will, of course, get information on the spices and herbs used. After the course the participants are able to prepare and spice vegetable dishes also in their own kitchen.
MEAT, BIRD AND FISH DISHES: In this course you learn to prepare meat, bird and fish dishes by using exotic spices and herbs. For example, example lamb biriyani, pork vindaloo, tandoori chicken, madras lamb curry, spicy beef fry and fish curry in coconut sauce. You will, of course, get information on the spices and herbs used. After the course the participants are able to prepare and spice meat dishes also in their own kitchen.
EXOTIC SNACKS: In this course you will learn to prepare exotic snacks. For example, samosa, pakora, lettupannu appam, banana leaf ada, masala dosa, lentil vada and koftas. The course is suitable also for person with gluten or lactose free diet.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN SPICE MIXES?: In this course the participants learn to use exotic spices and herbs in their own kitchen withour any fear. The course starts with getting to know 15-20 of the most important spices. Later the participants learn how to prepare spice mixes like curry or garam masala. The self made spice mixes are tested in the course by cooking a few dishes.
